News From TN 3-15

We had a water event in our house that we are dealing with. The feed hose to the toilet in the main bath broke in the middle of the night. About 3:30am we heard an electrical sounding buzz. The buzz was the water hitting the door frame causing a major indoor weather event. The ceilings - soaked, the walls - soaked, water was dammed by the hall carpet (also soaked) and running down the ventilation system. So we went downstairs to another tropical event. A new river running through the basement and out the service door. Drop ceiling was not in the ceiling anymore. heating ducts were raining and insulation soaked. Christmas wrap -soaked, stationary in the draw, a sewing machine, TV and the kids keyboard. WHAT A MESS!!. Well we had the water cleanup people in and everything is pretty dry now. We had to replace all the insulation and ducting at one end of the house. Fortunately it was warm enough where we didn't need a lot of heat. Life is interesting. Now to put everything we had to move back and replace all the stuff that got damaged. --
Blog you later,

News, Saturday 02-22-2008

Doug & Marsha,
Blogging is a new experience for me (us).  I'm glad you guys took the initiative to set one up.  Life is busy at our house.  I'm in the middle of a treatment process for my precancerous skin problems.  I have to use a topical cream, efudex, to burn off the old damaged skin areas.  Right now my face looks like I have stuck my face in a brick kiln.  Three weeks ago, I had surgery on my face to remove two cancerous areas.  Monday I will fly to Portland, Oregon to see Jim who is in the hospital with pneumonia.  He was on a trip (with American Airlines), came down with the flu which has turned into pneumonia.  I will get additional info from him tomorrow.   I have just recovered from the flu myself, and now Sue has it.  Other than the above, we are alive and well.  I hope you are all well.  More later.  Love, Dave and Sue

The first post

In the beginning I guess it is very boring. So I thought a picture of Marsha and I at a football game would help.

Welcome to the blog. Post away.
